HR Assistant – Graduate Role

You need to be smart, curious, and competitive to be excellent in what you do. You need to have hobbies or interests outside of work and good social skills. This role is 50% HR admin, and 50% leading on key recruitment initiatives, with career sponsorship from the Chief People Officer to become an HR Business Partner within 2 years. About the role
Support Atomos providing a fast high quality end to end recruitment service for the business and work with HR colleagues to finetune and automate HR administrative processes. This is a great role for someone at the early stage of their career to learn commercial HR.
You will manage our high-tech HR systems (Teamtailor, HiBob, Assess First), ensure administration like contracts are seamless, error free, and timely, input to the selection of better matched candidates, and ensure we have a strong talent attraction with our recruitment advertising.
Accountabilities
Turn job descriptions into adverts making sure they attract good candidates.
Administration of employment contracts and new joiners.
Phone-screen candidates for culture fit.
Manage the onboarding journey for new joiners.
Become an expert on our HR Systems.
Ensure candidates are fully screened via our outsourced provider and flag concerns to the Chief People Officer.
Support HR cycle projects such as assessment reviews, culture forum, and reporting on data.
Coach managers on better interview skills and co-interview alongside managers.
Deliver ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Chief People Officer - e.g. policy reviews, process charts, and responding to audit queries.
Skills and Experience
1yr in an office environment: placement year or a year after graduation, but you want to be a more professional setup.
Smart, curious, and highly driven.
Excellent command of verbal and written English – you must be able to adjust the tone of job adverts to suit the audience.
Comfortable working with numbers (e.g. percentages, formulas on Excel).
Intermediate Excel - v:lookups and pivot tables.
Tech savvy – this includes comfort working with cloud drives (you must be able to share a link and not attach documents) and the ability to learn different software systems.
A view of HR as a driver of business.
Hyper organised, able to work on a range of projects, and understand sometimes you have to put extra work in to hit your deadlines.
Fast learner comfortable with approaching colleagues and using Copilot. You are not someone who waits for learning to be offered.
Engaging way of speaking – you must be able to have a conversation with candidates that makes them want to lean in.
You are comfortable getting a high volume of feedback
Sense of humour.
