The key traits we are looking for are high drive, an agile mind, and a genuine interest in how financial services operates. We expect experience in Financial Services, Accountancy, or a large Consultancy; you don’t need direct sector experience, but you should be able to pick things up quickly.
Purpose
The Compliance Monitoring team operates similarly to internal audit but focuses on alignment with regulatory requirements. You will help the team to review how the business operates key control processes, assess adherence, and support the team in providing practical, problem-solving recommendations to improve controls and compliance outcomes.

Skills and Experience
2+ years' professional experience in Financial Services, Accountancy, or a large Consultancy.
Ready for a step up and motivated to demonstrate progression within the next 2 years.
We provide training on the compliance-specific parts of the role; you’ll work with experienced Compliance professionals.
High attention to detail and comfortable working with data.
Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas).
Curious about how businesses work and able to find the balance between regulatory requirements and business needs.
Energetic and able to drive tasks to completion.
Positive attitude and a sense of humour.
Accountabilities
Your focus will be on ensuring compliance with processes, activities and controls against regulatory requirements, internal policies / audits and risk expectations. We expect you to bring process review skills; and an understanding of FCA rules.
Dive into thematic and ad‑hoc reviews to understand how the business operates and test the strength of our controls.
Produce sharp, insightful reports that highlight risks, showcase good practice, and drive meaningful action for Management and Board reporting.
Keep our monitoring engine on track by supporting action follow‑up and ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
Carry out regular sample testing to help us stay aligned with regulatory and internal standards.
Act as a go‑to support for the business, helping with system queries, data pulls, and day‑to‑day coordination that keeps compliance running smoothly.
