This is one of the most exciting roles we are hiring this year! We are building out a small team to deliver "front to back" process improvements to support delivery of our operating model. You have an excellent track record in delivering process improvements a pace and want to be in a firm where you can make a difference. This would be a great role for ambitious up and coming talent, or those who just love being on change implementation.
About the role
Lead and run process transformation programmes and initiatives within Atomos. You will understand the silos between front, middle, and back office, and know how to galvanise people into solutions with a goal of better client experience or operating efficiency or excellence.
Working for the COO coordinate stakeholders to identify change, and where necessary get alongside frontline staff to understand pain points and bring solutions that deliver. Our preference is people who deliver and are entrepreneurial in their approach to driving solutions, not those who are dependent on adding more people (don't worry, we have great internal experts).
Accountabilities
- Operational Excellence Champion: Identify, lead and manage end-to-end operational improvement projects, from planning and execution to monitoring and evaluation.
- Front-to-Back Mindset: Analyse current business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and engage the right people to deliver solutions.
- Programme management: Develop and execute change management programs to drive improvements in operational efficiency with commercial benefits to Atomos. Oversee deployment of upgrades to our operating processes.
- Operating model: ensure the operating model is documented and well understood with system maps and efficiency and effectiveness monitored through appropriate management information.
- Operations enhancements: identify easy wins and potential risks to our process delivery and change management and escalate concerns or deploy mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholders: Pull together the right stakeholders to deliver solutions and help them do it at the right time and hold an accountability mirror to stakeholder delivery.
- Engagement: Comfortable gaining buy-in to the programme and an ability to get in front of front line staff to express pain points and look for solutions. Equally able to prepare and resent status updates to senior management.
- Performance Measurement: Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the success of change initiatives and continuously improve processes.
- Additional: You must be comfortable using technology solutions or offline approaches to ensure the best result for the business and cadence in our progress.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Skills and Experience
- Financial Services knowledge is strongly preferred, even better if your experience is Financial Planning or Wealth Management and the pain points we deal with.
- Mid-sized firm experience or you worked at a larger firm and were the change agitator and you want to be somewhere where your pace is appreciated, equally we'd be interested to talk to anyone who's worked in a Financial Planning startup.
- Knowledge of at least one of the following: Operational Excellence, front-to-back, 6-Sigma, continuous improvement, or process transformation within Financial Services.
- You drive decisions and progress, but take people on the journey.
- Able to sell benefits of operations improvement projects.
- Process mindset.
- Good grounding in the use of technology to create operational efficiency.
- Mindset of an entrepreneur when it comes to problem solving (its about smart solutions deployed fast).

- People who have only middle office experience in Asset Management - we need financial planning.
- People who only consider tech solutions - sometimes we like tech, sometimes the answer is just better processes.
- People who prefer to follow a structured environment - we want you to create the structure, which means taking decisions or holding an accountability mirror to those who need to.
