Career
This is a role for someone looking to make an impact via digital delivery for learning and development. You have a grounding in L&D within financial services and have deployed via an LMS previously. We are an ambitious HR team and we'd love to enter industry awards for the work you are contributing to.
As a smaller team you will get to work directly for the Chief People Officer with no blockers to delivery via technology solutions. You will also get involved in culture, performance, and success factors amongst our workforce.
Please note we are focussed on custom delivery and enabling development across our workforce, this is not about big content or external spend (we have experts in-house we wish to share knowledge from).
About the role
Lead role in transforming deliver of Atomos Learning and Development. You will be responsible for establishing an overall training strategy, career pathing, establishing a continuous learning and excellence culture, and supporting the Chief People Officer on cultural initiatives.
Your primary approach will be custom e-learning via our 360 platform and ensuring our development initiatives support both client excellence and commercial goals. You will also work with the T&C team on the infrastructure behind our competence interventions to ensure people are supported to achieve excellence fast.
This is an L&D Management role for a digitally enabled L&D Manager who wants to deliver scalable solutions to support delivery. This role will focus on enhancing employee skills, development, and performance through innovative digital learning solutions.
Accountabilities
- Deliver a centralised Atomos training plan under the guidance of the Chief People Officer.
- Design and deliver engaging e-learning on our 360 platform following the “little and often” and “support-on-demand” principles.
- Establish a culture of continuous learning and improvement and CPD.
- Work with T&C to provide a reporting suite of learning delivery.
- Work with the Chief People Officer and T&C to support capability assessments and interventions within the business.
- Democratise learning by facilitating system manuals moving onto our LMS platform (360).
- Codify our “relationship management super recipe” and establish an e-learning and in person training suite around it.
- Facilitate both online and in-person learning sessions for employees and an understanding of what engages, and how to create blended learning solutions.
- Manage live webinars, edit recordings and presentations, and distil to bite-sized e-learning.
- Prioritise sharing of inhouse expertise – we're not looking to buy-in content.
- Focus on solutions for knowledge of management techniques, soft skills, and relationship management.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in learning and development with at least 2yrs in financial services including high level awareness of Fit And Proper (FAP).
- Experience setting up and delivery learning via an LMS - our LMS is “360”, bonus points if you’ve used that.
- Digital native is a must have, including basic ability level to edit video to right-size it for our LMS (e.g. publish 5min soundbites not 1hr monologues).
- Experience delivering learning needs assessments, and training plans.
- High level understanding of Performance Improvement Plans.
- Experience gaining stakeholder buy-in for learning initiatives.
- Prior experience taking other people’s subject matter expertise and distilling into effective learning (you should be able to train people, but that is not the primary goal).
- A commercial interest in the traits of high performers and how we can share the knowledge.
- Happy to visit UK based sites in person once per quarter to gain feedback.
- Fast learner - comfortable deploying with trial and error and adjusting to get better results.
